MALAIKAGABY was born from a deeply personal journey that began with the birth of our first child, Gaby. We chose the name Malaika, which means “Angel” in Swahili, as a symbol of protection for our baby. We saw Malaika as a guardian—not just for us, but for her. Gaby, but for all children.

From Screens to Toys
The Inspiration Behind MALAIKAGABY
When our second child arrived, we realized even more clearly that modern life, especially the rise of screens, was affecting our children in ways we hadn’t anticipated. We watched as screen time impacted their development—from their sleep patterns to their ability to interact with us, their friends, and the world around them. It was especially difficult to see the frustration that came with time to tear them away from a screen, which often disrupted their ability to focus or get a good night’s rest. We began searching for toys that were fun and also engaged their minds and bodies without the need for technology. What we found changed our family life, giving us peace of mind knowing our children were learning, growing, and playing in healthier ways—without being glued to a device.
So, we had an idea. If these products helped us so much, they could help other parents too. And so MALAIKAGABY was born in 2019: out of love for our children and with the desire to offer other families the same tools that have worked so well for ours.
